Write Letters
There is nothing quite like receiving an envelope hand-addressed to you.
Why Write Letters?
We write letters to amplify our voices in many ways. A hand-addressed envelope stands out. People are curious to know the message, and it doesn’t get tossed with junk mail.
Our letter writing takes two main forms:
- Letters to voters
- Letters to the Editor
Letters to Voters
We work with Vote Forward to write letters that are stockpiled and mailed to voters at set dates. These letters focus on a variety of actions.
Vote Forward letter writing is easy. You download letters, briefly personalize them, and put them in a stamped envelope that you provide. It’s a simple, powerful way to make an impact.
Letters to the Editor
We encourage ReSisters to write Letters to the Editor and/or submit comments in response to articles. With some specific issues, we provide sample letters as thought starters to help you get going.
Letters to the Editor are a powerful way to shape public opinion and draw attention to the candidates and causes we support. Your local newspaper is always looking for reader voices. A great first step would be to comment on an article should you feel so inclined.
